The Boston Herald reveals details for PAX East 2011 and beyond.
Back in March the Penny Arcade Expo made its first appearance in Boston, Massachusetts. Gathering some 52,000 attendees during the three day event, the alternate location proved to be very successful. Not one to disappoint, an agreement has been signed to bring PAX East back to Boston until at least 2013.
The news also comes with word of a change in venue. While PAX East 2010 took place at the Hynes Convention Center, PAX East 2011 will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. A considerably larger crowd is expected next year, and so the move is to preemptively accommodate the growth.
The Seattle, Washington location, now called PAX Prime, will be held from September 3rd to September 5th.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Japanese wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo Inc. is presently in talks with as yet unnamed "videogame-device makers" to bring 3G to future hand-held devices.
Nintendo and Sony both, unsurprisingly, declined to comment. While merely a rumor as-is, Nintendo of America President's Reggie Fils-Aime has stated previously that Nintendo plans to expand upon and improve its online services. Nintendo's President, Satoru Iwata, also commented on the way Amazon has set up their Kindle e-book reader. Enabling the upcoming Nintendo 3DS to connect to 3G networks would certainly be a good first step forward.
Sony is no stranger to 3G networks, already having numerous 3G-enabled devices such as e-book readers. "Yusuke Tsunoda, an analyst at Tokai Tokyo Research Center, said talks of a carrier partnership are a sign that the videogame-hardware makers are feeling the pressure from smartphones, which are used to download and play simple games," reports the Wall Street Journal. Considering the success of mobile games in Japan and Nintendo declaring Apple's products, such as the iPad, the enemy of the future, it seems to be more a matter of when than if.

Another year, another set of PlayStation 3 models.
Sony announced on Monday that 160 GB and 320 GB models of its popular PlayStation 3 console would be released in Japan. Marked for a July 29th release, the two new models will replace the existing 120 GB and 250 GB models currently on store shelves. In addition to the increased hard drive capacity the 160 GB model will also come in a shade of white reminiscent of last year's Final Fantasy XIII bundle, dubbed Classic White, as well as the standard Charcoal Black.
Pricing is set at 29,980 Yen and 34,980 Yen for the 160 GB and 320 GB, respectively, and would roughly translate into $349 USD and $399 USD upon release in the United States. The 320 GB PlayStation is currently only announced to be available in Charcoal Black and neither model has been officially confirmed for a release in North America, Europe or Australia at this time.
