New Britney video targets the angsty suicidal youth of America...
What better way to reinvent yourself (again) than to depict your own suicide in one of your music videos? Well, after making out with someone that's old enough to be her mother (twice), getting nearly naked on television, and dancing around with a snake, you kinda run out of ideas.
Britney Spears' newest video "Everytime" video premiered today (Monday, April 12th, 2004) on TRL, and it got quite a rise from the censors. In a post-Janet Jackson's nipple world, anything that is deemed inappropriate is not only frowned upon, but advertised to the point where every 14 year old girl is wondering what the big deal is, then watches the video, and decides "hey, I need to slit my wrists so I get as much attention as Britney."
Gotta love censorship, folks...
