Def Jam Vendetta sequel announced

Electronic Arts announces that it will release the sequel to its hip-hop-inspired fighting game this fall.

According to GameSpot, EA has stated that it has commenced development of the sequel to their hip hop fighting game, Def Jam Vendetta. Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube versions are being developed. "As the line between games and traditional forms of entertainment continues to blur, EA will continue to partner with strong brands like Def Jam to redefine the rules with innovative new titles like Def Jam Vendetta II," said Jeff Karp, vice president of marketing for EA.

No Richters on the Gamecube

Whip cracking Castlevania rumor nothing to flinch at.

Gigex reports that rumors of a new Castlevania game for the Gamecube by British developer Kuju is just a lot of hot air. A Kuju spokesperson stated that there's "categorically not one iota of truth in this story."
