FARSCAPE mini-series confirmed
Details of a new four hour two-part mini-series, Farscape: Peacekeeper War, have been confirmed by Director Brian Henson.
From Dreamwatch Magazine - Written by Farscape creator Rockne S. O'Bannon, Peacekeeper Wars continues from the unresolved cliffhanger following the shows unexpected demise at the end of it's fourth year. Henson, a key figure in Farscapes history, said that they wanted to wrap up the end of final episode 'Bad Timing', but not close the door on Farscape completly.
"The mini-series begins with John Crichton and Aeryn Sun getting put back together after they were crystalised. The characters are now engaged to be married, expecting a baby and just want to settle down", Henson tells Dreamwatch reporter Kate Lloyd. "But the Scarrans and the Peacekeepers have started a huge intergalactic war and they're wiping out populations all over the place and both are trying to find Crichton because they beleive that he has the knowledge to create the ultimate weapon that would destroy the other side."
Shooting began in December 2003 and has been shrouded in secrecy since the production team did not want any of the story to leak. Although Peacekeeper War resolves all of the program's major plotlines, don't worry because it wont be the final Farscape adventure. With the semi-animated episode from season three, Revenging Angel, an animated series is posible, as is a motion picture.
The full artice is in the current issue (117) of Dreamwatch Magazine.
