Buena Vista Games announces GBA titles

Buena Vista Games today announced its Game Boy Advance titles slated for release in summer and fall 2004. "From Lizzie McGuire to Tron 2.0 Killer App, Buena Vista Games has seen that young game fans enjoy the ability to interact with their favorite characters from film and TV through video games," said Sanjeev Lamba, vice president of marketing at Buena Vista Games. "Knowing this, the company remains committed to delivering fantastic titles for the Game Boy Advance console based on favorite properties from within The Walt Disney Company that will appeal to players of all ages."

Buena Vista Games' new Game Boy Advance title line-up includes...

TRON 2.0: Killer App for Game Boy Advance -- The newest addition to Buena Vista Interactive's TRON game series lets players take on the role of digital warriors Tron and Mercury as they battle against The Corruptor, an evil computer program attempting to create the ultimate virus and take over the system. The game features two unique storylines, incredible third-person digital action, hyper-fast vehicle combat, upgradeable characters, multiplayer levels and more, delivering a truly fun gameplay experience unlike any other on hand-held game console. TRON 2.0: Killer App for Game Boy Advance is slated for release in fall 2004. TRON 2.0: Killer App for Xbox is also slated for release in fall 2004.

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King -- Once a holiday king, Oogie Boogie has so ruined his August holiday of celebrating bugs to the point where his holiday has completely ceased to exist. Therefore, he has decided that if he can't have his own holiday, then Halloween will do nicely. Meanwhile, Jack and the citizens of Halloween Town notice that unusual bugs have started to infest their township. Unable to figure out where these creepy crawlers have come from, Jack and his trusted pal Zero embark on a journey to locate the source of the ever-increasing bug invasion. With help from familiar faces, such as Sally-the-Mayor, and the inventions of Dr. Finklestein, Jack discovers that the bugs are under the command of Oogie Boogie. Now, it's up to Jack to rid the town of this new infestation, and stop Oogie Boogie from carrying out his evil plot. This is the story of how Jack Skellington met Oogie Boogie, and how he saved Halloween. Buena Vista Interactive's Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King is slated for release in fall 2004.

Disney's Kim Possible 2: Drakken's Demise -- Based on the action-packed Disney Channel series, Kim Possible is back in another video game adventure where players lead her into battle against Falsetto Jones, Gemini, Duff Killigan, Shego and Dr. Drakken. Kim can bounce up walls, hurl glue bombs to subdue enemies, judo flip henchmen, reflect laser beams with her hand mirror and spray hot sauce to melt icy obstructions. If all else fails, players can engage her amazing stealth suit and make her invisible to enemy eyes. The game delivers four action-packed episodes, each offering a new gadget and acrobatic ability. As players progress through the game, they can go back and replay earlier levels, including accessing areas that were previously unreachable. Remember, anything is possible when Kim Possible is involved! Slated for release this summer.

Disney's Lizzie McGuire 2 -- Based on the top-rated TV series on Disney Channel and following the smash success of Lizzie McGuire: On the Go for Game Boy Advance, Disney Interactive will launch Lizzie McGuire 2 which lets players reprise their role as Lizzie in a new animated action-adventure game guaranteed to delight girls of all ages. Slated for release in fall 2004.

Disney's That's So Raven -- Based on Disney Channel's hit TV series of the same name, Disney Interactive's new That's So Raven action-adventure game for Game Boy Advance lets girls take on the role of Raven herself, where they can experience her psychic premonitions and master her power in order to prevent disaster. The game also features Raven's favorite friends and includes four side-scrolling adventures with each adventure based on an episode from the TV show. Slated for release in fall 2004.

Disney's Lilo & Stitch 2: Hamsterviel's Revenge -- Based on Disney Channel's hit television program "Lilo & Stitch," Disney Interactive will launch the sequel to the wildly popular Lilo & Stitch for Game Boy Advance where kids play as both Stitch and Lilo as they attempt to rescue Nina and David who have been kidnapped by the evil Hamsterviel and taken onboard his spaceship. To complicate things, Hamsterviel has created evil alien Experiments that go head-to-head with the heroes. Players must start by capturing each Experiment and harnessing their special power in order to progress and capture the next, such as with Sparky, Experiment 22, which can help players out with his powerful electricity balls, or Richter, Experiment 513, which can shake things up by igniting a rockin', rollin' earthquake! The game includes three modes of play, including platform shooting as Stitch, navigation and strategy as Lilo and action-packed racing, in addition to multiplayer mode that lets kids play together. Slated for release in fall 2004.
