Call of Duty Black Ops New Maps

In this article, I take a look at the new multiplayer maps released as DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops On 2/1, Treyarch released four new multiplayer maps and one new map for Nazi Zombies for Call of Duty: Black Ops, their record-breaking first person shooter. Costing 1200 Microsoft points for those on Xbox 360, the maps are titled Berlin Wall, Discovery, Kowloon and Stadium.

Berlin Wall, naturally, is stationed at the divide of East and West Germany, complete with a "No Man's Land" area. Discovery is another snow-based map with several choke points for those who enjoy fast-paced action. Kowloon is based on a level from the campaign mode and continues Treyarch's quest for interactive gaming with two zip wires, which allow players to travel quickly from one destination to another, although leaving them vulnerable for attack by those scouring said areas for kills. Stadium is exactly how it sounds. A sports stadium, based on a New York ice hockey arena.

I have been a gamer for over 30 years. I love gaming, but I hate mnotoony. One of the greatest feelings in the world is the anticipation of a new game. The excitement of experiencing the latest tech in action. How will this generations offerings improve upon the last? With COD though, it doesn't change, we know this, Activision knows this, but they don't care. Because they are taking advantage of the consumer. Ever heard of Stockholm Syndrome. You are brainwashed. I don't care how they change the game but it needs to change. Variety is the spice of life. You say all FPS are the same? Rainbow, Battlefield, L4D, Borderlands, Operation Flashpoint, Quake, Rage, (tell me when to stop) Doom, Half Life, Dead Island, (really, say when) Bioshock, Call of Juarez, Far Cry. You think these are all the same? Now, I will give you that all of these are not great games, but they play different, look different, feel different. I am angry because Activision takes all of the cake, and are laughing all the way to the bank. Why do you think there hasn't been a pre-release beta since COD4? Because there hasn't been a NEW game since COD4, so there is nothing new to test. COD has set the bar when it comes to FPS. Every game that is released is compared in every way to COD. If it isn't like COD it's no good, if it's too much like COD it's just a copycat, but look at what COD has done ..Hmmmmmm, I think I have seen recon and assault drones before some where on the Homefront, but throw them into COD and it's brand new. Respectfully, get a clue. Why not just play the old COD since they have been forcing DLC down your throat and let the next one die. When Activision doesn't make 100 billion dollars they will go back to the drawing board and give us something that will make us feel like waiting at the Midnight launch for COD4 again!
