Huge market ready to be conquered by DS and PSP
Nintendo and Sony cannot ignore the number of gamers that want their entertainment to be portable and cutting edge.
From Investors Business Daily, "The number of people in the U.S. who play these portable games is projected to grow to 43 million in 2009 from 23 million today, says Jupiter Research. In that span, Jupiter says revenue from portable game devices will rise to nearly $2.7 billion from $1.6 billion. Sony is aiming for older gamers than Nintendo's core group of users, says Brian Farrell, chief executive of THQ."
