IPTV Not Coming to Xbox 360 This Fall

Microsoft confirms IPTV will be coming, but not this Fall Recent images and speculation have arisen about IPTV, Microsoft's Live TV approach with the Xbox 360. Images have been leaked of one Xbox 360 with all IPTV features in place and ready to be used, which led to the speculation that this coming Fall Update would be the update that dispersed IPTV to all Xbox 360s.

Microsoft today confirmed that this was not the case, and that IPTV was set to be released by the end of the year, but that it was not their call on when it would be deployed, as it would be up to Microsoft Mediaroom Service Providers to deploy the services.

You can read the full article, including information about Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and Microsoft Mediaroom here: http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/29/microsoft-iptv-not-a-part-of-xbox-live-fall-update/
