RuneScape passes the 500,000 subscriber mark

Jagex, the developer and operator of the 3D Java online adventure game RuneScape today announced that this week RuneScape passed the 500,000 subscriber mark for the first time. 'A raft of strong game updates has helped us attract players in ever larger numbers to upgrade to the member's game,' says Managing Director, Constant Tedder. 'We're thrilled with the way both the free game and the members games are growing – it's a real vindication of the superb efforts of our team.'
