The Colour and the Shape Released For Rock Band 1 And 2

Foo Fighters popular album becomes 8h full album available since the first Rock Band was released.

Recently added to the ever growing list of songs available for the Rock Band series, was The Colour and the Shape by the Foo Fighters. The album features 11 songs new to rhythm games, along with Monkey Wrench (previously in Guitar Hero 2). The song Everlong will not be included in the download since it is included on the Rock Band disc already. The album is being sold for $19.99 on PS3 or 1600 Microsoft points on Xbox 360.

Harmonix has stayed quite true to its promise of having more downloadable content (DLC) than any other game, with this becoming the 8th full album that you can purchase. The mass amount of DLC offered by Harmonix should be a blessing to all, as it allows users to truly customize the type of songs they want in their games. Harmonix has offered just about every genre that would work in a rhythm game, and has completely blown away their competition, Neversoft (makers of the Guitar Hero series from GH3 onwards) by offering more content in a lot less time.

In addition the usual weekly content, Harmonix still has more planned for their loyal Rock Band fans. Coming up will be two more albums, NothingҒs Shocking by Janes Addiction, and Texas Flood by Stevie Ray Vaughn. ItҒs getting to the point where everybody should be able to find a lot of songs and maybe a couple albums that they like, but of course, there are still places they havent gone (Black Metal anyone?) and it doesnҒt seem like theyll be going there anytime soon. Nirvana and the like seem to be the music of choice for Harmonix, but Harmonix does always seem to please the fans.
